Poverty News
Poverty News is a locally edited newsletter that gives a summary of national and local poverty issues.
Poverty News also gives details of local poverty initiatives in Bedford Borough and contains general information on child poverty research and statistics.
The last edition was publishd in April 2011. Funding is currently being sought to produce further editions.
Poverty in Bedfordshire
A research report was produced by Infotrain on behalf of Bedfordshire Child Poverty Network in May 2009.
The aim of the research was to help the Network oversee the work on the child poverty indicator (NI 116) that was included in the 2008 Local Area Agreement for Bedfordshire and was in the new LAAs for Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
Child Poverty in Bedfordshire - Research Report 2009
Since Local Government Reorganisation in Bedfordshire in 2009, work has been undertaken by separate strategic groups in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire. Beds CPAG is engaging with both of these groups and information on local child poverty is being updated.
