Beds CPAG Activities

Child Poverty in Bedfordshire

Beds CPAG has been actively involved in work in recent years to get child poverty issues on the local strategic agenda in Bedfordshire.

Key events and activities have been:

  • Child Poverty Seminar - December 2007

  • Child Poverty Event - launch of Bedfordshire Child Poverty Network - November 2008

  • Formation of Child Poverty Task Group - January 2009

  • Child Poverty in Bedfordshire - Research - 2009

Following Local Government Reorganisation in April 2009 in Bedfordshire, future work will now be undertaken by separate strategic groups in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.  Beds CPAG is engaging with both of these groups.
